Enterprise Search

In Service Now it is possible to structure knowledge articles in sections which you can collapse or expand / accordion format. There may for example be instructions which are written in the extendable sections, but we are not sure if the assistant can ingest and use that information.I was looking for official information on the Moveworks docs to cover the expanded / collapsed content topic but could not find yet.Do you have a reference to point me to, or can you confirm if there are any limitations regarding this? With the HTML-based articles we’ve seen that the information contained in the collapsible part is being found by the Assistant. Is this because it’s HTML or because extendable sections are readable? We were also reading into the nested content docs but not sure if from a Moveworks perspective accordion formatted content is considered nested content? An overall limitation guide when it comes to ingesting content in Moveworks would be great instead of needed to check specific topic

Hi all - Not sure if this behavior exists today, and if not maybe a future product idea? We currently have a few systems integrated into Moveworks for Enterprise Search Indexed Content, specifically Google Drive and Confluence, both using the max capacity connectors. With our Google Drive ingestion, we are specifying specific Shared Drives for ingestion. With our Confluence ingestion, we are ingesting all spaces. If someone were to embed/link to a Google Drive file from a confluence page, will moveworks follow that link and ingest the linked content? My thought here is that the Moveworks integration into Google Drive will likely have access to the file, but it may not be ingesting that specific shared drive, so I’m curious to know if it would ingest or not? If not, could we have this transitioned to a product idea? This seems like it would be a good solution to catch files that may be useful, but not ingested as they don’t live in an ingested shared drive. I understand that Google Driv

We’re rolling out an upgrade to your Confluence integration to improve how content and permissions are handled. What’s changingWe are upgrading your existing Confluence connector to a newer version. As part of this process:A new Confluence connector has been created in your environment by Moveworks. This new connector runs in the background while your current integration continues to work as usual. What’s improvedSupport for attachments: Users will now be able to access Confluence files such as PDFs, Word documents, and presentations. Improved permissions handling: Access control will be more reliable and scalable, ensuring users only see content they have permission to access. What to expect during migrationThere is no downtime — your current confluence integration continues to work. You may notice a new Confluence connector in Setup. This connector is crawling and ingesting content in the background, but its data is not served to users yet. There is a small chance you may see errors or f

The SharePoint ingestion silently skips files above 25mb without logging the details.  Customer are left having to troubleshoot missing content reactively, or require arbitrarily small file size limitations within SharePoint to ensure ingestions, neither of which are easy workarounds. Improve the ingestion for searchability to index larger files or generate an action report during ingestion that reports on files skipped due to size for administrator action.

We're setting up Confluence Server knowledge ingestion with Moveworks. Our Confluence instance is on-prem and only reachable internally. We've configured the built-in connector and confirmed connectivity via the API Playground in Setup and we get a successful response. We also have the on-prem agent deployed in our sandbox environment, which is where we've been testing this setup. Two questions for the community:1. Does the on-prem agent eliminate the need for an MFA exception on the service account? The access requirements doc lists two suggestions for setup, an exception policy at the IAM provider level, or a firewall exception for Moveworks IP ranges but does not specify if one is sufficient or both are needed. However, it also states that the agent is required for Confluence Server integration and that "no firewall changes are needed" when the agent is in use. Are the API calls being routed through the agent; which is why the API Playground calls are working or is the MFA exception st

A recurrent request from our service teams regarding what types of knowledge / content can be ingested is regarding images and tables.Images: Are there any plans for bringing this capability to Moveworks? We don’t see this yet on the roadmap. Tables: We’re aware that tables with multiple headers are not supported as per info in the Writing AI-Ready KB Articles doc however, we’re also looking into suggesting the use of html based Service Now knowledge articles.I did a check with the Ai Assistant in Moveworks docs and it stated that during content processing, Moveworks' ingestion pipeline preserves HTML tables as part of its HTML parsing behavior and referred to Document Chunking and Snippetization Overview | MoveworksWould HTML based articles be a recommendation in the case of content presented in a table format?

Hi everyone,We need our Moveworks AI Assistant to query tabular data stored in Excel files within SharePoint Online.Since native SharePoint Indexed Search skips Excel cell data, what is the best way to handle this?Has anyone successfully implemented either approach, or found a better workaround? Would love to hear your thoughts! Thanks,Tanishq Choudhary

I recently talked about Moveworks + ServiceNow in the Nulledge conference. I got into conversational processes, CI/CD integration for our customized plugins and the ServiceNow AI Control Tower governance for Moveworks. If anyone in here is interested in hearing more about it, please happy to connect with the community and share my expertise.   https://www.linkedin.com/posts/eberteo_servicenow-cmdb-moveworks-ugcPost-7486931843129458688-PvWr/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop&rcm=ACoAADCqoOMB-9kBPNh2czE2WAJkkKdRDWl-gYY

Hello, I am looking to set up Confluence DC/Server for Enterprise search. We were told that it is doable now but any documentation we find is specific to Confluence Cloud. Is there any other documentation on setting this up?

Hi,I was interested to learn more on how to integrate Moveworks on Concur system to help users utilize its LLM to better comprehend concur KB articles and help reduce friction on the user exerience.

Hello All,  I am trying to setup Enterprise Search in my Moveworks homepage. I did the setup and connected with ServiceNow but when i opened the moveworks homepage, I couldn’t see this option visible. Moveworks homepageEnterprise search configurationSetup statusI aso would like to know is it a technical issue or licensing issue?

We're updating the Confluence Cloud integration to align Moveworks with Confluence's native permission model for anonymously accessible spaces.Effective July 20, 2026, content from Confluence Cloud spaces that allow Anonymous Access will become searchable in Moveworks for all users, consistent with how Confluence grants access. What's changingToday, content in Confluence Cloud spaces with Anonymous Access is not served by Moveworks.Beginning July 20, 2026, Moveworks will recognize Anonymous Access permissions and make content from those spaces available to all users, matching Confluence Cloud's native behavior. This update applies to both the Confluence (Next Gen) and legacy Confluence connectors for Confluence Cloud. What remains the samePage-level restrictions continue to take precedence over space-level Anonymous Access. If a page has explicit user or group restrictions, only those users will be able to access it through Moveworks. Existing user- and group-based permissions are uncha

Is there a reason why I should stick with Moveworks instead of Copilot Studio? We have acquired Copilot Studio and most of our existing Moveworks flows might be migrated to Copilot Studio since it can provide us AI across multiple Microsoft products (inside Excel, inside PowerPoint, Teams videocall meetings, others OOTB) + I can integrate the same type of development like on Moveworks. (CopilotStudio has OOTB ServiceNow connectors)

Hey Community,We've been troubleshooting our ServiceNow Enterprise Search setup and could use some help.We have 39 KB articles crawling successfully (1/1 Healthy) but search is returning 'No Results Found' for all queries. After digging in, we found that 'Last Indexed At' is stuck at 4 days ago even though crawling is running fine every 15 minutes. Here's what we've already fixed and verified:- Restored Basic Auth on the connector (was accidentally switched to OAuth2)- External Answers Config Enabled = TRUE- Web Enablement DSL = TRUE- Audience = All Users- Content = All Knowledge Bases- Triggered multiple manual re-ingestionsCrawling is healthy, all config looks correct, but the index just won't refresh and users can't see any results.Has anyone seen this before? Is there a way to force a re-index from the admin console, or does this need Moveworks support to fix on the backend? Thanks!

My ServiceNow Enterprise Search connector (AG_moveworks_kb, OAuth 2.0) is stuck on validation. All four checks — Credentials, Content, User, and Permission — spin indefinitely with no error or timeout. What I've tried- Re-Validated multiple times- Confirmed ServiceNow instance is accessible- Tried across multiple browser sessionsQuestions:1. Is there a known cause for validation hanging indefinitely?2. Is there a way to force-reset the connector state?3. Any backend diagnostic tools available?Attaching screenshots. Any help appreciated! Thanks

Hi Moveworks Admins,We've rolled out Real-Time Search (RTS) — a new, more reliable way to power Live Search for Slack. RTS is now the recommended setup for Slack Live Search and we'd encourage teams to move their current Slack Live Search setups over to it.🚫 Not available for Gov Cloud customers. RTS is not supported by Slack in Gov Cloud environments. Gov Cloud customers will continue to use the existing (legacy) Slack search and do not need to take any action. What's better with RTSMore reliable at scale — RTS significantly reduces the rate-limiting seen with the legacy search, so Slack search holds up much better under heavy use. Smarter, semantic results — results are matched on meaning, not just keywords, improving the quality and relevance of what users get back.Action needed: set up the new Slack appRTS runs on a new custom Slack app with updated (RTS-scoped) permissions. To switch to RTS, you'll need to:Create the new custom Slack app in your Slack workspace. Install the app in

We had our connector for Enterprise Search (Outlook Live Search) working for some time now and recently when connecting it is asking for Admin Consent when it didn’t before. I noticed in the auth URL there are permissions in the scope that weren’t in the original documentation.Mail.Read.SharedCalendars.Read.SharedAre these now required for Outlook Live Search? If so, the documentation should be updated.

Hey all - Figured I’d ask the community as I await for support and/or my CSM to get back to me. Has anyone run into an issue with adding an additional space with the Confluence Max Capacity Connector? We’re adding an additional space to a connector which has 9 additional spaces already being added and for some reason it will not pull the content. We’ve confirmed API playground can issue a get content across the space and pull specific pages We’ve confirmed that the moveworks service account has access to the space as viewer, and even granted additional rights for all permissions to the space We’ve reissued a full index Incremental index has run numerous timesWhats strange is the non-enterprise search plugin/next-gen/max capacity plugin is actually pulling in the content fine.

Are there any plugin available to triage the ServiceNow tickets after creation and assigning to the support team member automatically without manual intervention.

I have been working on setting up the connector for SharePoint/OneDrive Live Search for Enterprise search. I created the NG connector, and I was able to create the Enterprise search connector. I initially ran into an issue saving after validating the connector for the 2 Live Search options but I eventually got it saved. Now it shows in my list but as Not Enabled and it doesnt show in Enterprise search.Do I have to set up sharepoint ingestion or at least the ingestion settings as well for the connector to work? I only need the live search at the moment.

We’re excited to announce two new features that make Enterprise Search easier to use.1. Date Modified Filter 🗓️We’ve added a new filter that lets you narrow search results by last modified date, using both pre-set options and custom date ranges. This makes it easy to focus on the most recently updated content, helping you find the latest information faster and avoid outdated results. 2. Rich Markdown in Summaries  📝We’ve added enhanced formatting in Enterprise Search summaries to make results more structured and readable. Summaries may now include headers, bullet points, code lines, code blocks and bolded details for a clearer, more organized presentation of information. These visual improvements make it easier to scan key points, understand structure and extract insights quickly.

We’ve made it even easier to find the information you need. Search results will now group related documents, snippets and chat messages together, so you can see all the most relevant information in one clean, organized view. ⚡ Find answers faster: Related content appears next to each other, helping you browse results quickly and focus on what matters. 🗂 Stay organized: Multiple versions or iterations of the same document are now combined into a single, tidy group. 🔭 See the full picture: Snippets from the same document and messages from the same thread are neatly grouped for easier understanding at a glance. This update makes your search experience cleaner, faster and more intuitive, helping you get to the right information with less effort.Examples:
