We are excited to inform you about a major upgrade to Moveworks search capabilities, coming February 2026 for our US and EU customers, followed by GovCloud, AU, and CA customers later in the year.

A brand new Enterprise Search plugin for the AI Assistant
We are rolling out a new Enterprise Search plugin in AI Assistant for all US and EU customers, which uses an upgraded and scale-ready search and relevance ML system. This new plugin represents our new and improved search that is capable of finding the most relevant content across millions of documents.
In early customer deployments, we see an increase of ~10% in success rate for answer seeking queries in Assistant with this plugin!
- The Enterprise Search plugin will replace the current Knowledge Search plugin.
- All customers in US and EU regions will be migrated to the Enterprise Search plugin by March 2, 2026 as a platform-level change. All of your organization’s internal content (files, knowledge and FAQs) will be available automatically, and no action is required from customers.
This platform update is a prerequisite for Moveworks Enterprise Search.
When will the Enterprise Search plugin be available?
- US customers
- [Updated] Thursday, January 29: Early access for customers to try the Enterprise Search plugin
- Tuesday, February 24: All US customers will be automatically switched to the enterprise search plugin
- EU customers
- Thursday, February 5: Early access available for customers to try the Enterprise Search plugin
- Tuesday, March 3: All EU customers will be automatically switched to the enterprise search plugin

How is the new Moveworks search better with the Enterprise Search plugin?
Moveworks Search is better with the new Enterprise Search plugin in two key ways:
- Improved relevance and ranking, so that users get more helpful answers and more citations.
- Ability to support search across millions of documents, including documents created by your users, Outlook emails, Slack messages and threads - contact your account team to learn how you can get access to these new content connectors.
Note that new connectors are not required to start using the new plugin. However, switching to new connectors will unlock all the benefits of the new Moveworks Enterprise Search.
How will analytics change with the Enterprise Search plugin?
- Analytics will continue to show interaction details and plugin insights.
- Search interactions with Enterprise Search plugin will show that as the plugin used / served. Interactions from before this change will still show Knowledge Search plugin.
- Plugin insights will continue to show article level insights, such as the most cited articles.
- There may be an increase in the number of cited articles, since the Enterprise Search plugin can return more relevant articles and files for the same query, compared to the Knowledge Search plugin.
Will external answers be supported with Moveworks Enterprise Search?
External answers will no longer be supported with the Enterprise Search plugin.
We are discontinuing this feature, which has not been maintained actively since 2024. Our analysis of the most cited / referenced articles across the customer base showed that less than 2% of the top 100 cited articles were from external answers, so this change will have a minimal impact on users’ ability to get help with their questions, and will also reduce instances where internal and external content are in conflict.
How can I get access to all Moveworks Enterprise Search features?
This migration does not include the activation of all Moveworks Enterprise Search (announced last November):
- Employees can find answers across millions of documents created and shared by them and their colleagues in Sharepoint, OneDrive, Confluence, ServiceNow, Outlook, Slack, Box and many more - all in one place (requires new connectors)
- New live search capabilities to search across systems without indexing or creating copies of your data - giving you the freshest results at any moment
- Supports permissions out of the box, meaning that users only get results based on what they have access to
