Ambient agents anticipate needs and take action autonomously, bringing humans into the loop when it matters. They’re always-on, system-driven AI agents that operates in the background and spring into action the moment they’re needed. They don’t wait for a user prompt. They listen. They act. They serve as an invisible, intelligent workforce.

Proactive password reset help - detect multiple login attempts or expired passwords, notify employee with self service reset link before they submit a ticket.

Fixing WiFi issues e.g. when team have poor WiFi signal connectivity, or they’re connected to the wrong WiFi SSID.
Another simple one that has been on the back burner is a notification when guests and contractors arrive at our office/in-store.

Keen to see if we can have scheduled prompts like Copilot as well, e.g. every monday at 8:00 AM AWST, give me a list of open tickets in my queue that can be followed up.

We have a hot desk booking app at most of our offices and some people are notoriously bad at booking their desks. (I’m one, and I wrote the app 🤣)

An Ambient Agent could check when a user has connected from an office and check if they have booked a desk there. It could even automatically book the desk for them or alert them if they have sat at a desk that someone else has booked.

Love it @afleury & @Angus Walker!  These are such great ideas, exactly the kind of everyday headaches an Ambient Agent could quietly solve in the background. Also laughing at the honesty, Angus!

Keep ‘em coming! The more real-world examples we hear, the better we can imagine what’s possible.

Great ideas!!

@afleury Scheduled triggers that run at set intervals are on the roadmap and will be a part of the three trigger types for Ambient agents (Webhooks, Scheduled, Pollers) coming to Agent Studio - more in our blog here. What’s more is that with LLM actions as part of the “process”, the agent could also suggest resolutions / next steps for those open tickets.

@Angus Walker that’s an awesome idea and based on what you’ve shared, I’m sure would be immensely helpful! A great combination of convenience with proactive problem-solving.

@afleury - update here that Scheduled Triggers are in Limited Preview if you’re interested in exploring Ambient agents with that run at set intervals.
