Improved search ranking by source

The Enterprise Search App will get smarter about the sources of your answers. It will now recognize the kind of question you're asking and give extra weight to the systems most likely to have the answer — so the most authoritative source rises to the top. Ask about a customer's ARR and Salesforce results lead; ask for a teammate's latest message and Slack comes first; ask about a bug fix and the relevant GitHub PR is front and center. For broad questions that could live anywhere, Search will keep its existing ranking — applying this new source awareness only when it's confident it will help.

What this means for you: 

• Even more relevant results — answers from the most authoritative system rise to the top.
• Reach the right answer with less scrolling across results.
• Works across all your connected systems, with minimal impact on search speed.

This update will be rolled out by July 31, and requires no action from admins or end users. You'll simply notice even sharper results.
