You could take this one step further. If your detected as OOO by Teams, have the bot wait and hold sending messages until your back. Once your back, the bot automatically sends you a summary of what you’ve missed.

I’ve seen integrations with calendar applications (Google Calendar, Outlook, etc) which, if an OOO event is created, marks you out of office elsewhere. I think this would be dependent on your specific environment, but that might make it easy to gather the details in a Paths use case and submit to the calendar API of your choice an OOO event that syncs across the users’s connected systems.

I also love the idea of preventing notifications while OOO. I think you could accomplish that by creating an OOO custom field in some identity system that is integrated with Moveworks; your CS team could then configure a notification rule that prevents messages from being delivered if that field is set. It would need to be set a day in advance or so for ingestion to pick it up, so perhaps it would be better to see if the chat system supports this functionality out of the box for users marked as OOO in their calendar. This is the route I’d go since Moveworks would only be able to control notifications sent by the bot, rather than all chat notifications, so my feeling is that using the Chat platform features would be a more complete solution.

You should be able to build this with Agent Studio. Join our developer office hours if you need tips on how to proceed.
