"New Chat" option for end user

Hi Team,

I would like to propose a 'New Chat' option similar to Microsoft Copilot, where end users have the ability to start a fresh conversation with the bot. We've observed that when users repeatedly ask similar questions, the previous context remains in the background, and they don't have an option to start fresh. As a result, we often have to raise a support case (00026926) to clear the history for the user, which then allows them to receive accurate answers from the bot.

This would improve User Experience: Users can start a new conversation without the influence of previous interactions, leading to more accurate and relevant responses.

Please please implement this moveworks. 

Every copilot has a “new chat” button (microsoft, google, chat gpt)


We have stakeholders testing.  Many of them are not getting the expected results and it’s very time consuming to open a support ticket to provide “clearhistory” capabilities to an end user.  When we do, and they use it it works. 

We really need to implement a “new chat” button as more and more usage and conversations are resulting in “i couldn’t find this for you use get help options”.  Yet when we “clear history” the expected result appears.

 

This is raising a lot of internal support tickets on our side

    Isn’t this essentially “copilot clearhistory”?

    Yes it’s “copilot clearhistory”

    From a UX perspective users will not remember to prompt a phrase to clear the chat history or enter in a prompt “new chat”.  All the other copilots have a button or call to action for a new chat.

    Would be good to have a button called “new chat”.  When clicked it will complete the clearhistoy automatically.  This is what users are used to in other copilots out there
