How are we improving the Assistant's behavior?

We are improving the Assistant's "Brief Me" feature by adding multimodal support, which allows it to understand and answer questions about images—such as diagrams, screenshots, and charts—within uploaded PDF documents. This is achieved by converting images into text captions at upload time and indexing them alongside the document's text, making visual content searchable.
