Moveworks Setup Roles

Love the potential for Moveworks Setup.

Would like different roles and access pending the need

 

  1. Read only role.  Goal is a person can review, investigate and research without changing or modifying anything that can impact production.   This will be approximately 30 people
  2. Please break out what we had in control center (forms, users, knowledge) ingesting status, metrics and timing of next ingests into one bucket.  I have a lot of team members who need to use that to help troubleshoot tickets but I don’t want to give them access to everything else.  Approx 40 people
  3. Create a role as editor - this role can modify anything and we’ll probably have two people have this role

    @Apsara to summarize, are you looking for more granular control over who has access to which tools and analytics?

    No with moveworks setup if you have access you can edit everything

    We need different roles and permissons for moveworks setup

     

    • read only - can view everything but can’t make any changes
    • admin - has rights to edit or modify anything

      We're facing challenges in achieving full adoption of the new Control Center (Moveworks Setup) by our teams. They've expressed concerns about losing functionalities available in the previous version. As highlighted by several team members, the broad editing capabilities are causing reluctance, particularly among those in knowledge management who prefer access solely to the Answers section, and similarly for our Forms developers, who only want access to Forms Ingested. There's a recurring inquiry about when these issues will be addressed, and unfortunately, I've been unable to provide a definitive timeline.

        To add to this thread, here’s the view Control Center admins had in the past:

         

        It was much more granular. Currently, MW Setup users are considered SMEs in all areas. We would like to lock down SMEs in their respective areas and ensure they do not accidentally cause issues anywhere else.

          I don’t know why this was flagged as 5. NOT ENOUGH INFO TO MAKE DECISION

          We are unable to move forward with Moveworks Setup because it’s lacking granularity of roles and permissioning for tmoveworks setup

           

          We need an editor role for moveworks setup

          We need a read only role for moveworks setup

           

          it is too risky to use it today as you can break something and there is NO undo option

           

          User should be read only

          Admin should be able to edit and make changes

          Can we please consider this for future release

           

          Only a few people on my team have setup access because everything is editable.

          KB and Form owners are asking the few who have access to setup to check if resources were ingested.  What used to be self serve in minutes is now turning into days.

           

          We just need a view only of moveworks setup and an admin role allowing people to make changes
