Labelling External vs Internal links

Did a quick search to see if this was something that existed already but I didn’t see it so I’m going to post the idea here.

To help our users, we thought it was be a good idea to label what was internal versus external links when they’re being referenced.

In this age of digital security I know our leadership team was interested in helping let people know where they might be clicking.

Following up on this. We need labels for External Knowledge, so the users know this information is not provided by the company. Even internal knowledge labels would be very helpful, as one topic can be in cross-functioning teams.

Right? Like as a Microsoft shop sometimes the suggestion on how you can do X requires you to have access that you just won’t have and isn’t provided by the company.

If it’s labelled then it’s easier to parse out for us if we’re troubleshooting something that gets through to ITS and we see “Oh, the think you were trying to do isn’t something we allow.”
