Enhancing GPT UX

I’m looking to expand and market the GPT connection within our bot, as it could add tremendous value if more people knew how to use it.

When I enter “use gpt” then enter my prompt, the reasoning steps outline the usual “Searching knowledge base...”, which is misleading because I’m not looking for it to search the KB--I want it to connect to GPT. It’d be great if the reasoning steps instead said “using GPT to...” so it’s clear to the user there’s a distinction between knowledge search and GPT search.

Additionally, if the user could toggle between GPT search and knowledge search through some kind of button, it would greatly improve the UI. The ChatGPT UI where you can select the globe button to search the web comes to mind.

MoveWorks’ integration with OpenAI is invaluable and one of our main goals this year is to educate users about how they can use the MW bot for much more than just troubleshooting.

Hi Nate. Thank you for the feedback.

The current Quick GPT experience is designed to make sure that users provide consent to get answers from GPT that do not use the enterprise’s resources.

As a result of that, we have the two modes - use “quickgpt” as a command, or click on the “Ask GPT” button to invoke the plugin. We are working on supporting more utterance patterns to make this more flexible.

Please note that the goal for requests that may be interpreted as requiring internal knowledge is to first try the knowledge plugin before offering the “Ask GPT” button. However, we will plan to add more supported patterns besides “quick gpt” and “quickgpt”.
