I saw in the Copilot feature overview that the unsubscribe etc are no longer possible in Copilot. For us this is a really important feature as it helps retain the users that have a lot of tickets open because they act as kind of a superuser for other people and open tickets for them. They get overwhelmed with notifications and like to mute some of them but would without that feature mute the bot entirely. Which would lower our active users significantly.

Please bring that useful feature back, I don’t understand why it was not considered.

I was in the process of raising as similar idea when this surfaced for me.

We have the same need for users to be able to unsubscribe (or resubscribe) to notifications.

There should be an option at an Admin level to enable/disable this, as well as to enable each notification type.

Example:

Allow users to unsubscribe from notifications: True/False

If True

Allow users to unsubscribe from: True/False tick box for each

Employee Comms Campaigns

ServiceNow Change Approval Notifications

ServiceNow Request Approval Notifications

ServiceNow Ticket Update Notifications

Workday Time Off Approval Notofications

etc., etc.

Further, the user should be able to simply ask the bot to do this.

Example:

“Hey ‘bot’, I want to unsubscribe from this notification.” or “He ‘bot’, I want to unsubscribe from all notifications”

This is also critical for us. We have a big population of “Super Users” similar to Nicole and they want a way to set their notification preferences. Blocking the bot is the only option right now and some users are doing this out of frustration.

This idea was raised almost 11 months ago and is also quite critical for our organization. As we leverage the bot for more and more communication users want the flexibility and control of what notifications they get. It is very unfortunate that today the only option these users have is to completely block the bot, which also prevents them from using the bot when they need it. Would be great if this considered with priority, we are getting more and more complaints.

This is critical for CVS Health as well. As we expand our proactive outreach to colleagues, we need a system to allow colleagues to manage their notification settings. Maybe they want low wifi alerts but don’t need approval notifications

I support this feature request as well, only if there is a hybrid approach, as also suggested by @michael.prouty Meaning that I would like our admins to have the ability to decide which notifications can be unsubscribed from and which ones should remain mandatory. For instance, at Honeywell, when it comes to the campaign tool, we ensure that notifications are targeted and require an action; otherwise, we do not approve their distribution.

This is a very important feature for us as well. With notifications on the rise, The end users should certainly have an option to set their preferences for which notifications they would want to see. There should be a way to subscribe/unsubscribe from notifications based on user’s requirement. Please look into this asap as I see certain other customers also asking for a similar feature for quite a long time now.

I vote for this feature. End Users should be given control over notifications.

We would like to see enhanced user controls overall - turning off notifications and selecting their preferred verbosity.

This is critical for the success of our AI bot. Limiting notifications on the tech side when some users like it vs. some do not is not the best way to handle this experience. If users had the opportunity to choose which notifications they’d like vs. not, it would enhance the user experience and give the user better control on how the bot can serve them better. We are exploring adding alot more approval notifications across travel, expenses beyond the traditional IT ones they get today. This could get annoying pretty soon!

MW team please weigh in on this. There is obviously a ton of interest and we all have the same issue for folks that get a high volume of notifications.
