Dear Moveworks Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well.

We are exploring options to seamlessly integrate our ServiceNow catalog items with Moveworks, and I wanted to check if there is any out-of-the-box functionality available that allows us to directly use catalog forms within Moveworks. Specifically, we are looking for a method where we can simply provide the sys_id of a ServiceNow catalog item, and the bot would automatically:

  • Fetch the associated variables/questions,

  • Present them to the user conversationally, and

  • Submit the request on their behalf by mapping the responses to the respective variables in ServiceNow.

While we are aware that this can be achieved using Moveworks Paths, we are hoping to avoid manual field mapping and setup for each catalog item, especially since we manage a large number of them.

Could you please let us know if such a capability exists natively, or if there are any upcoming features or recommended approaches that could help us achieve this level of automation with minimal configuration?

Looking forward to your guidance.

Hey @ronak.sharma - We definitely do, we have a OOTB form skill that ingest the catalog items from your ServiceNow catalog

You don’t require Agent Studio for this! Let me know if this helps.

@kmok , i got you but this isn’t i was looking for. Suppose i have a form in servicenow and i want the users to not explicitly on that form in the moveworks as well, i want bot to ask each question from them, take respective answers to it and create a request as currently we are able to do that from Paths.

I see, I understsand your case now.

At this time, that’s not something we support - I would like to understand why a bot-fillable form is not a better choice here for you? I understand you would like to bot to prompt the user for each question, but don’t you think is better UX to have the user fill out the form in bot through a modal?

I agree but we have this requirement so for that purpose i’ve been looking for an answer.
Thanks

I completely understand and thanks for asking in the community. I am sorry we currently don’t have a solution for your use case!

@ronak.sharma if it makes sense to make a product idea for this, please feel free to do so!
