Formally submitting product request on behalf of The Wonderful Company:

After a user is prompted to re-authorize 3rd party access, ideal experience would be for AI Assistant to automatically re-trigger the initial plugin request. As seen in below screenshot, user experience is not straightforward to know to type ‘retry’ to re-trigger the approve timecard plugin:

@RakeshTWC @DIANA.TWC - following up here as per John McGinley’s email out to the team on Friday acknowledging that the current behavior is caused by a limitation in how Moveworks handles system-triggered (webhook) actions. Because the approval is triggered by a webhook rather than a user request, the bot currently "exits" the process while waiting for the user to authenticate. Once access is granted, the bot has no way to "resume" and complete the original approval.

The Resolution

  • Moveworks Roadmap: This is being tracked as a priority for Q1. We are building a "re-triggering" feature so that actions automatically resume after a user authorizes.

Will f/u on this thread once we have a concrete release date for this Q1 enhancement

Yeah, we're tracking this. The current flow doesn't persist intent across the auth handoff, so after you re-authorize, you need to nudge it to resume where you left off.

This is in the Q1 plan as part of the UCA improvements. The goal is exactly what you're describing: complete auth, auto-resume, no extra typing required.
