Hey Team ,
User ID and Email will be added to the new Interactions table starting Wednesday, Jan 28th'2026. (3 weeks from now). This means that anyone with access to the new Interactions table will be able to see User ID and Email associated with each interaction.
Since the legacy data-masking behaviour will not carry over, your governance controls will now come from our new Custom Views framework.
Below are some important links for you to get familiar with the new governance framework.

- Achieving data governance through RBAC and Custom views. ”How-to” guide.
Recommended steps :
Step 1 : Assess and manage RBAC roles
Assess the RBAC permissions, and ensure only those people who deserve unrestricted access to all user interactions ever done with the AI assistant have the “Interactions viewer” role.
Note : Only super admins can downgrade / assign people with “Interactions viewer” roles.
Note : Currently all bot analytics admins and users have by default been given the Interactions viewer role to avoid introducing any breaking change.
Step 2 : Create custom views
For users who must not have an unabridged version of the Interactions table , but still have some part of it to get their work done, custom views can be created. Super admins and Interactions viewers can create a custom filtered view of Interactions table. Certain data columns like User ID and Email address can be dropped in these views. The views should then be shared with individual users who need access.
Note : Please ensure that users have a “Custom views user” role assigned to them if you are sharing a custom view with them. (All super admins and Bot analytics admins can manage custom views user role)
Step 3 : Create and share views instead of sharing all dashboards to users for future use cases
We encourage customers to create custom views (tailored to user’s use case) rather than assigning them Bot analytics admin, user & Interactions viewer roles that give them access to all dashboards. We encourage customers to be mindful of the principle of least privileges while sharing analytics dashboards.
We are here to support you throughout this transition period. Please leverage this mail thread for any queries , or you can reach out to your CSM for assistance.
