Confluence connector not ingesting restricted Confluence pages — is this expected?

Hello Team,

I have recently created a Confluence connector and successfully ingested internal Confluence pages into our Moveworks bot. Most of the articles/pages were ingested without issues.

However, I noticed that a restricted page in Confluence (with page-level permissions limiting access to certain users/groups) was not ingested by the connector.

Could you please clarify if this is the expected behavior of the connector? Does the connector skip pages that have restrictions, or is there a way to include them in the ingestion process?

hey @jcheemarla , i haven’t gone thru this process myself, but just at a glance i have a couple of thoughts:

  1. is your connector created with a service account authentication? if so, have you added that service account with read all permissions in Confluence so that it bypasses the individual permissions you or other users set at the space/page level?
  2. if you created with an API token and permissions, are the permissions granted in the same way as above ^, with read all scoped to the token ?

hope this helps...
