For most Moveworks customers, the insights contained in our standard analytics dashboards provides more than enough information to track progress and report back findings to key stakeholders internally.

However, there may be times where you want to expand on the insights in these dashboards and take greater ownership over your raw data. This is where our SFTP feed comes in!

Here, we can provide a daily export of your bot’s raw data via SFTP, allowing you to import relevant data into your BI tool of choice. For more information on how to establish this connection with support from your Customer Success team, please review this page in our Documentation site.

For those of you who currently leverage the SFTP feed and import data into your BI tool(s), which types of insights have you been able to gather? How has having this data at your disposal helped with demonstrating value and identifying area of opportunity?

The SFTP pipeline is crazy valuable; so many of my customers benefit from this. BI and Tableau are definitely the most popular data platforms to plug into the SFTP feed, but I’ve been curious if any users are doing anything with custom scripting and our SFTP feed. It seems to me that this would be a powerful tool for custom alerting, metrics, and anything else that might be triggerable from trends found within SFTP pipeline data.

For example, our SFTP pipeline provides metrics regarding knowledge articles across all integrated systems. I would love to see someone develop a custom script to ingest this data and monitor trends for which articles are most used. Since resolution is 24hrs, you could monitor which articles are more relevant for your user base, and thus which topics matter most to your employees. That seems incredibly powerful to me, especially for organizations with multiple knowledge bases. Where else could you get usage data across systems that isn’t biased towards whichever system is easiest to access or nicest to use? Moveworks is effectively a bias-removal layer for knowledge article analytics.
