Approval Buttons Executing External API - Timeout

We have several Events configured in the old Creator Studio (old) that send a Teams notification as soon as the Power Automate flow receives a payload. Two additional events are also tied to this flow. When users receive the notification, they are presented with Approve and Deny buttons, which trigger corresponding Power Automate flows. These flows interact with the Planview API to patch the required task numbers.

However, an issue has been observed:
If a request is created (for example, on 30th January) and the user attempts to approve or deny it after 3–4 days, the event‑based path no longer triggers, causing the downstream process to stop.

We would like to know whether there is any platform limitation or time‑bound restriction where a static Teams message (triggered by an event) can only remain actionable for a certain duration, after which the Approve/Deny actions cannot be executed. If such a limitation exists, please confirm. Additionally, if there are any recommended workarounds or best practices, kindly advise, as end users are currently facing issues.

Hey @mandarmarkandeya - I am checking in to see if there are any button expirations; however, since this is the old Creator Studio, it may take a while to get an answer, since the focus has been on Agent Studio.

I do want to ask: is there a reason you haven’t migrated these use cases to Agent Studio using Ambient Agents? That would be the best practice moving forward

Hi @Kevin Mok ,
We are already in the process of migrating the same flow . Totally on the Ambient Agents.

We’re in the process of migrating over to Agent Studio using Ambient Agent and have something built, but we have to work with our internal Planview team for the API and they have to build that still.

Links and button usually expires after 3 days if not clicked and expires in 5 minutes once the user has clicked on it. I would recommend adding a reminder flow for every 2-3 days for the approvals that are pending.
